First Nations Co. has been engaged by the NSW Government to consult with First Nations communities living in NSW on shaping the NSW Suicide Prevention Legislation. Their mission is to work closely with the community to identify key priorities that will strengthen this vital legislation, ensuring that the voices of those with lived experience are central to this process.
As part of this initiative, they are hosting a series of in-person and virtual consultation sessions exclusively for First Nations peoples. These sessions will provide a safe space to share your voice, experiences, and suggestions. Their goal is to facilitate open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving, ensuring that your perspectives are embedded in the development of the NSW Suicide Prevention Legislation.
You are invited to participate in one of the sessions. To register your involvement, please visit our Have your say: Suicide Prevention, First Nations Consultations engagement website and complete the EOI form. We will follow up via email to confirm the outcomes of the EOI screening process.
Thank you for considering this opportunity.
Feel free to tag any First Nations peoples living in NSW who may be interested.
