@Glisten Lmao good call out on my "touch" comment, I say touch as mine is very minor, as in it doesn't affect my work or life much at all. I haven't spoken to my son's treating Psychiatrist, I rarely see my son, not through the lack of trying either, his mum is the one who pushed for a diagnosis.

@Sparky79 have you experienced what life is like, without ADHD + dyslexia symptoms?

@Glisten no as this is normal for me, it wasn't until I was growing up that I noticed some of my traits were not normal when compared to other people, but I tried my best to blend in with the normies so to speak, to avoid ridicule or criticism.

Long time no speak, you know how amazing our object permanence is!
Diagnosed ADHD almost 2 years ago, the psychiatrist very politely suggested I display a number of ASD traits.
Today I got my written report and I am officially Autistic. Level 2 at that. I spent my appointment crying at how grateful I am to finally be medicated properly. I have had an incredibly rough year, and I know pre-medicated me would have quit work, shut myself off and just all round had a crap time.
@Sparky79 I hear you on fitting in. Was only last year I learnt not everyone gets exhausted after socialising.
Today my new Thermomix arrived, so I have been hyperfocusing on that. Yay novelty dopamine.

@Aqualemonade I hope you are well, I'm glad that you're finally receiving the correct treatment, I was being mistreated on workcover for almost 2 years before I realised the "professionals" had dropped the ball bigtime.
Oh a thermomix! Nice, sounds like dinner is going to be at your place!

@Sparky79 ugh that is so frustrating. I had been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, one psychiatrist suspected a personality disorder. Nope, AuDHD! I am grateful I have a psychiatrist who listens to me.
Dinner, and jaffa muffins for afters. Happy tummy here tonight!

@Aqualemonade so jelly about dinner! Damn my gluten issues. I was initially diagnosed with anxiety and adjustment disorder, then after my most recent IME PTSD and depression were brought into the mix, which then made me start checking how my GP and psychologist were handling my case.
