I have barely touched this garden for a year @Dimity
I will give it another visit soon and it should be fine for a while.
it was interesting reflecting on all the guerilla gardening I did between 2020 and 2023. I have my house, the verge, the court, then further afield, 2 stretches opposite a local supermarket and the physio garden. At least it kept me fit and active, and yep, all of them are still somewhat alright. This last 18 months I have focused on the ones closer to home.

One of my neighbours has volunteered to build me 3 long, tall raised garden beds using timber along my back fence. Those plans on hold currently for few reasons, one being waiting to see if (or when) he will have heart, lung transplant.
Ive finished putting the different plants in my front garden. Bit annoyed as rabbits are chewing on and eating some of the flowers.
Ive decided to try to make the front garden look more like a fairy garden. Lots of planning and work ahead of me. I’m wanting to use flexible edging plus small white pebbles to make little paths around the plants and toward ‘fairy village’.
Online I’ve seen a sign that says ‘fairy’s enchant this area’ that I’m thinking of getting.
Monday I’ll be having injection into bursa sac, will be taking things easy for few days after that.

Sounds like a beautiful project @Patches59
Creativity really helps me and there are so many different ways to do it.
best wishes for your injection. Guessing its for inflammation.

When I was a kid @Patches59 I remember seeing the fairy tree and the model Tudor village in the Fitzroy Gardens. And did you see any of the Spoonvilles during Covid?
Be careful with the bursa. Someone I knew fell and burst a bursa and it ended up very serious indeed from all the consequences.
Dang rabbits.
My neighbours seem to love fairy lights. They festoon them around porches, trees and fences. I'm not sure what nocturnal critters make of them.
I wonder if op shops would have ceramic ornaments that might fit in with the fairy garden theme. Lots of things might be suitable. And little glazed ceramic tiles might make pathways or fences.

I’ve got bursitis in my left shoulder @Appleblossom
I’ve been working with physio for last few months hoping to be able to avoid the injection. I’ve got some improvement but not enough.
attempted to book appointment with pain management clinic short while ago, website says they are not taking new patients and to phone them.
text message from local council this afternoon telling me council registration fees for both cats are overdue. Helps if the council had sent me the bill

These stakes (and similar) have been in the garden the last 12mths, planning on reusing them. The plaque is approx 30cm x 20cm, made of metal. Thinking of buying it for the front wall
@Dimity @Appleblossom going to be taking my time deciding kinda how I would like the front to look prior to searching for what I can find

@Patches59 Good luck with the bursitis. It difficult dealing with pain and we take our body for granted a lot.
It is lovely to take time to dream into your fairy garden project. Leave space for plants to unfold and grow so it is not too fixed. I feel it will seem more enchanting…. With little cosy corners and hiding places,

Howdy folks,
I've returned from being just over 2 weeks away, and my 2 plants have survived! That's my 'garden' win considering I've unalived every other plant.
@Dimity @Patches59 @Appleblossom
Great to see you all.

Welcome back @tyme .
I trust the trip was relaxing or productive or maybe even both depending on your intentions.
Glad your green companions survived. My garden is sad, I wrecked it to give access to a tradie who renegged on his quote and never showed. When I'm brave enough I'll start again. Get another tradie and replant.
