I'm sorry things are hard hon @Bow
Can you just take it hour by hour?

I'm with @Snowie on this one, sometimes we really do have to focus on the very short term - putting one foot in front of the other. Here with you @Bow. What can we offer you? A virtual hug? A cuppa? Something light-hearted? A space for you to express yourself?
You may not even know what you need and that's okay! We got you regardless

That's what I'll have to do @Snowie
We decided to use our new fire pit. Toasted marshmallow.

Everyone else has gone inside and I'm sitting out here alone in the cold, fire is just about out. New pit needs to be cured? So one log and let it burn out. Alone lost in my thoughts. Cold still air. Dark sky's. Noise inside my head.

@Bow Watching a fire burn down... sounds soothing. I imagine if I were doing the same, I would picture the noisy thoughts to be like the flames - fickle and flickering, hungrily trying to grab hold of more fuel, but in the end being nothing but embers and sparks, drifting into the sky.

@Bow haha well often it is followed up by my brain finding some tangent to go on and I have to kind of... shake myself out of it and bring my focus back into drifting with the smoke. I just wanted to share in hopes the imagery would resonate with you. I find fire quite mesmerising, and glowing embers doubly so. Plus smelling like woodsmoke for days afterwards is always a bonus.
I hope you're keeping warm - either by the fire or wrapped up in some blankets inside
