i had 2 rotty bitches oldest one lived to 16 i couldnt get another for expecting too much after teelah,

she was fierce yet would never walk away from my side no need for leash she was born stumped tail nearly got in a few barneys with idiots telling me im cruel to my dog @DownMoreThanUp 

she may of been smaller than zeus in hieght but man she was red when younger it was a secret sorrow when she became black and more bronde brown with age

thing id say @heartathome  is you do need to put your own wellbeing first so dont ever knocj yourself round for that, when he needs you ypu will be better to do what needs doing that way as well.

giving his age i will take a guess and say he knows what hes doing and most likely has a group of people that do too.

more than likely hes been through the exoerimental stage and settled with whatever he prefers now.

jes at an age where he knows what hes doing and how deep it has its hooks in one thing i dont need to guess is that if hes not asking for help with it then theres no help to offer really.

yes its good to have dialogye opem with kids especially when they are only just getting amongst it and can be exploited or lied to about whats being sold to the.m

spose its the type of conversation too i have had my kids telling me things because they think i will be impressed or they want to look cool i really dont know why but sadly its a world i have navigated enough to know poo from clay so happy to play along for as you say keeping that relationship and dialogue.

i was always watching the crowd as i knew my boys  and again im talking teens to mid twenties latest.

if is asking for help see if iys in a pattern or consistant coz being brokes a good motiyivator for playing the im done card while having mpney agains a good motivator to put it off unless serious/.

if time comes try guide him to D & A  trained specialists because they more likely to know whays needed for lomg term.

12 steps is solid for some not all  and definetly worth sitting in thier chairs for an hr or few even if just curious but not committed yo sobriety.

yeah could tell still young by colouring beautiful dogs i wouldnt be thinking i know rottys i had one around others though @DownMoreThanUp

teelah would let people im the yard then not let them out and was quite convincing

@heartathome I had a friend whose sister was going through the exact same thing. Her son started using when he was about 16 and his mum and dad tried their best to keep him from the bad influences. By the time he'd turned 18 he'd started stealing from his parents and sister so his mum told him to leave. She said it was the hardest thing she'd had to do because she knew he could go one or two ways. He stayed with friends for the most part but still came back home a few times, broke in to steal and then got violent with his mum. She was wondering whether to get the police involved, knowing that he was now an adult. The police did get involved eventually and he was lucky he didn't get a record. I know they tried having him live at home again but he was so disrespectful that he was told to leave again. She said the not knowing whether he was alive or not often came up in her mind when she didn't hear from him.
From what my friend said later the son did get clean eventually but it was when he chose to and not when his parents wanted him to. 

It must be so heart breaking as a parent. I know that if it were me I'd want to know but I was never a parent, I was only a secondary caregiver with my Godchildren and they are still young (18 and 16). I know when my Goddaughter was struggling with having an older boyfriend she wouldn't speak about it to her mother (who was my best friend) or me and that I struggled with because I could see she was in such a bad place.

I pray on everything and usually God gives me an answer on how to manage things but the waiting time is so painful!

@REDLINEZ750 Zeus loves everyone though when you meet him you would never think so. For he thinks that growling really viciously will get peoples good attention, like he gets from me, hugging him my growly monster baby. He loves that a lot, although me growling with him he loves even better.

The more disappointed Zeus is when people walk off, the harder he growls, and the faster people walk away generally. He just doesn't get it. 😁

The negative part is he does it to friend and foe alike, and all most everyone is scared of him, while he would not harm them, or even think about doing that.

We wanted a guard dog. He sure is good at that.

Zeta and (Shadow, the other dog on the picture,) on the other hand love everyone as well but lick them to death.
