Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been on the forum, hope you are all doing well.
I felt the need to reach out again...my son, with schizophrenia was admitted to hospital again on New year's eve. They can't give me any details as yet, so I don't know what triggered his episode. He has been doing ok lately, so I thought.
Anyway, I'll be speaking with his treatment team tomorrow, to find out more. I've spoken to my son a few times and he definitely sounds very unwell, blaming me and telling me to fix everything.
I'm just getting so exhausted, worrying about him.
Does anyone have any ideas about what would be the best thing to say/tell the treatment team? I know that I want to let them know, that I can't be the only one supporting my son, I need HELP!
Thanks for listening xoxo
Cheers Libra ❤😕

Hi @Libra I don't think we've met. I'm very sorry to see you've had no replies. Tagging @TideisTurning so you can spread the word about Libra's post above.
Libra it must be a very worrying time for you, to say the least. Hoping your son is home again and doing better by now.
You might want to start a new thread of your own so that people are more likely to see your post and call-out for support. I'm not around as much these days. Let me know if you still have questions about your situation and I'll reply, just maybe not immediately. I need to have days off-line at the moment. You can tag me using the @ symbol , where you will get a drop down box with names in it to click on. If you don't see the name start typing it slowly and it should show up. Tagging @Shaz51 and @Maggie as I can't remember how to tag community guides as a group. Also tagging @Bunniekins and @Former-Member in case you have some suggestions for @Libra

Hope life is going smoothly for each of you and looking forward to hearing from you.
I am well settled in my new home now and getting back into routine with support workers doing increased hours. Not much other news today.
Take care and stay safe everyone. Apologies if you're reading this and I missed tagging you.

Hi @eth ,
Thanks for finding my story. My son, 32, is still in hospital. He has severe schizophrenia and is very unwell. I have related to the staff how I'm not coping being his only support and they have come to my rescue!
I have spoken to his psychiatrist a few times now, a social worker and a wonderful nurse. They're all very caring and helpful and I feel much better now, knowing my son is in good hands.
I have a meeting with his psychiatrist and case manager on Monday arvo. They are going to change his medication, so he'll be staying in hospital for a few more weeks.
I've seen my son a few times too, he is very distressed. It's heart breaking...
Thanks again for your reply 👍😘, and hi @Shaz51
