Re: I can’t cope

No Way @Captain24 - I wouldn't consider having a spoonful of it at the moment. I already feel guilty for having treats. I had lunch out today - Mexican.

Now I'm thinking about what to have for dinner.

I've never driving through water and flooding that is that bad. I've driven through fires though. My tyres were melting to the road. It was scary because the fires were coming towards me. It wasn't long before the police blocked off this freeway.

At least we are both here to tell the story.

Re: I can’t cope

I’ve never had traditional Mexican @tyme . It’s not available around here.

Give me water over fires anyday! At least I’d the car got stuck I could just swim out. Lol.

That would have been terrifying!

Re: I can’t cope

I'm not sure it's whinging @Captain24 . It's about sharing what is important to you at this time.

Do you have a shift tomorrow too? A 4:30am shift?

Re: I can’t cope

I most certainly do. @tyme  Lol. I’ve got no where else. But I will get better!!!

Yep another early on. At least it’s stopped raining and if it doesn’t rain overnight the roads should be way better except for massive potholes now.

What’s for dinner?

Re: I can’t cope

It was during the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009. @Captain24 . I was driving out of Melb. I thought I'd miss the fires, but it go worse because the wind changed the fires' directions. So we ended up having to stop after a while.... a 4 hour stand still. There were people all over the road just trying to keep their kids entertained for the 4 hours. Unfortunately, there was no toilet!!!! So it's a trip I won't forget.

That brings me to remember a trip I had in Auckland when the car I was driving broke down... it was late at night, and I couldn't find a toilet.... argh.....not pleasant.

I'm not sure what i'll have for dinner tonight @Captain24 . I may just have a piece of flat bread with honey or something. Or some toast. I really don't know.

What about you?

Re: I can’t cope

I remember those fires. That was terrible. We have had similar around here in recent times to.

I’m a country girl @tyme. We are always prepared! Always have tp in the car and there’s always a tree. I have such class. 😛

I went to New Zealand on a school excursion way back in the 90’s and the bus ran out of fuel so we had to push it down the highway in Christchurch! That’s a memory I won’t ever forget.

Re: I can’t cope

My hot choc is dinner. I didn’t really prepare well enough but by the time I get home I’m usually to tired anyway.

Re: I can’t cope

Lol! Pushing a bus to Christchurch! @Captain24 That would be reported nowadays and escalated big time!

Good old times. Yes. I won't forget NZ in a hurry.

Have a safe drive when you go to work (in a few hours lol). Do you leave at 4:30 or start at 4:30?
