It’s cold wet and miserable here. Weather and mood. 

Can I tell you about yesterday? It’s a repeat though and I think that may be against the guidelines.

@Captain24 I'd be keen to hear about your Friday - I don't think the guidelines are referring to that, it'd be more like if you went to 5 different threads and posted the exact same story each time, for example.

I’m super happy to type it. @Jynx 

Well… I had a women in mining event out at work yesterday so I went out. I got there 10 minutes early as I don’t do late. There were 5 people there. 2 facilitators and 3 of us. I joined in in candid chat!!! Just all like a ‘normal’ person.

So these facilitators are the ones that had us do the VIA survey last year, which came in handy as it was all about strengths and at least I remembered them so I didn’t have to search deep to find them. 

Then when we started they made

us all get up and go and meet people that we didn’t know and tell the a strength we have. Yep.. I did it and spoke to 4 different people. 

During the presentation we got asked if anyone who had done the survey remembered their strength and how it made them feel. So yep…. I put my hand up. I volunteered to speak up in front of those people. I said honesty and I makes me feel as though I have integrity as a person. I nominated myself to speak not being made to speak.. 

GO ME!!!!

I felt empowered, strong, surprised and proud!

Then exhausted. It took a lot out of me but I did it.
