Aww ya cutie, was thinking about you too @Captain24 when I was doing my yard! Literally was like 'omg yay Captain will be so proud of me!' ahaha
I had a friend in Adelaide? Is this one of these moments? lol
yesterday
I’m am proud of you @Jynx. I’m glad you got your yard work happening.
Didn't your partner introduce you to someone that went away? Or am I just dreaming?
Am I having an undiagnosed ADHD moment?
yesterday
@Captain24 hmmm are you thinking of someone else? Or of the fact that one of my partners and I went up to introduce em to my family in NSW?
I don't think I know anyone in or coming back from Adelaide 😅 Let's just say we both ADHD'd it and maybe there is some mysterious figure coming to find me!! 😲🤣
Anyway! Haha how was your day? Work go ok?
yesterday
I don’t know.. @Jynx
Work was okish. It’s a job it almost pays the bills. I really don’t want to go but I have to.
yesterday
@Captain24 yeah honestly, such a horrific part of modern life. Ach, let's think about other stuff hey, no need to dwell on work!
I got half my yard done today, but still need to give it another pass to get some weeds out of the corners and stuff. And lawdy me I've been neglecting my succulents 😬 Do you think plants can hold a grudge? 🤔
😝😂
yesterday
You’ve done very well @Jynx. I hope you get the next pass done. Do you have an inspection coming up or just wanted it tidied up? I didn’t even look at mine. I just couldn’t do it.
My plants all seem to hold a grudge and die! I definitely didn’t get my grandmother or great-grandmothers green thumbs. My nana-great had the most amazing garden. She was still gardening at 96. She had 2 connecting house blocks and they were both landscaped beautifully!
My nan could also grow anything but I preferred nana-greats garden.
yesterday
@Captain24 trying to do that thing where I do the chores more frequently so they're not HUGE and need several people and days worth of effort to get done 😅
So like it wasn't too bad and it literally only took a couple hours instead!
Meh, you get a free pass from yard work, you're riding the struggle bus! Tho if you can get your toes into some grass, that is always lovely!
Or sand, even better - when you off to the beach next?
Awww sounds so lush, you got any pics you'd wanna share?
yesterday
I should try that @Jynx. I’m proud of you for trying to tackle the chores before they are out of control. Even if it’s a little at a time it all adds up. It feels good though to be able to check stuff off ay
It takes a couple of hours to mow. That’s not the edges or anything. Thanks for my free pass. The struggle bus hasn’t made a stop.
My next beach holiday is in October but I’m going to hospital in August and the beach is walking distance.
My nana-great died in 1999 so we didn’t take photos back then. I really wish we had have though. My nan that died 2 years ago, her husband is cleaning up the neglected garden so I’ll go around and see what it looks like now. Nan didn’t garden when her dementia got worse so things got into a bit of a mess.
Im going to go to bed now. I have to face another day tomorrow and right now I don’t think I can. To many unhelpful voices guiding me the wrong way. It’s hard. It’s very hard
I’ll talk to you tomorrow after work.
Have a good night
yesterday
@Captain24 stupid struggle bus this isn't the classic hit movie 'Speed'!! Grrrr
Good to hear from you lovely, I will indeed catch you tomorrow - hope the voices can let you rest 💜
